SCHOOL ORGANIZATION

Keko Secondary School Organization Structure

Keko Secondary School operates under a well-structured organizational system that ensures effective management and smooth functioning of the school. At the top of the hierarchy is the School Board, which provides overall governance and strategic direction. Directly under the School Board is the Head of School, who oversees the daily operations and implements the board's policies.

Supporting the Head of School is the Deputy Head of School, who coordinates various departments including Bamike (Baraza la Mitihani Keko), Environmental Teacher, and the Academic Master. The Deputy Head also supervises Discipline Master, Procurement, and Maintenance operations, ensuring the school environment is conducive to learning.

The Academic Master manages the academic aspect of the school, working closely with Heads of Departments and Subject Teachers to maintain academic standards. The Discipline Master, reporting to the Deputy Head, oversees student behavior and works with Class Teachers to enforce school rules.

The school also includes specialized roles such as the Bursar, who handles financial matters, and Guidance and Counselling, which supports students' emotional and social well-being. The counselling department also manages Clubs, promoting co-curricular development.

An independent unit called SIQA (School Internal Quality Assurance) is responsible for maintaining quality across various school functions, reporting directly to the Head of School and coordinating with several departments.

This structured organization fosters accountability, supports both academic and non-academic functions, and promotes a holistic educational experience for students at Keko Secondary School.
